Lucky Generals has hired former Grey London Deputy Head of Strategy Ruth Chadwick as Strategy Director.

Reporting directly to Andy Nairn, the Lucky Generals founder, Chadwick will work on key clients, new business and transatlantic projects, which the agency is increasingly handling as a result of opening its office in NYC last year.

Prior to joining Lucky Generals, Ruth has spent two years working as a freelance strategist for companies including Headspace. Previous roles include Deputy Head of Strategy at Grey London and working for Crispin Porter & Bogusky, Wieden + Kennedy and DDB.

While at Grey, she worked on the multi-award winning 500 Years of Stories for Tate Britain and has worked on clients of all sizes, from Vodafone, GSK and P&G to Paddy Power, Terry’s Chocolate Orange and Scope.

Andy Nairn, Founder at Lucky Generals, said: "Ruth was recommended to me by so many people over the years that it became a personal mission to make her a General.  We grew by over 60% last year, so she's come in at a really exciting time, with plenty of opportunities to shape the agency, the department and the work."

Chadwick, added: “I’ve respected Luckies and many of the people who work there for such a long time. The agency is so full of energy and I can’t wait to get started making some great, populist creative work.”
