Cult nutritional product Huel was one of the ten biggest spenders on Facebook ads in the UK last year.

This is according to new figures from Pathmatics, which surveyed brands’ spending on the platform in the twelve months to August.

Microsoft, Tesco, and Nestle also appeared at the top of the list of biggest-spending brands.

Proctor & Gamble, Vodafone, Sainsbury’s, Priceline Group, Unilever, and Amazon rounded out the top ten.

Pathmatics found that the highest-spending UK industries for Facebook ad spend were retail, food and drink, style, fashion and beauty, financial services, and travel.

The company has released the data to mark the expansion of its new advertising intelligence tool.

Pathmatics Explorer, the company’s flagship product, will now offer users panel-based insight into the activity of up to 10,000 Facebook advertisers.

Users of explorer can now examine creative, impressions, spend, and targeting for existing advertisers, dating back to 1 January 2017.
