Who else? For eight years, Citymapper has been helping people in London and beyond make their way around the city they’re in with all modes of transport, presented clearly and with a sense of humour.

Reverse marketplace Carwow has removed the need to haggle and shop around – presenting the best deals from franchise dealers locally and nationally.

3. Cazoo
Buying a used car has been made so much easier with Cazoo. Users will be able to search and buy a used car online, and have it delivered direct to their door.

4. Zencargo
Zencargo is a digital freight forwarder supporting customers’ supply chains. Its platform allows users to book, manage, and track all international shipping.

Value: At least £71 million (€80 million)
5. Wheely
A luxury ride-hailing app, Wheely combines the private hire apps we all know with chauffer-driven cars, promising discretion, luxury and comfort.
Founded: 2010
Value: At least £48 million ($60 million)
6. Motorway
Motorway lets you sell your car fast – comparing offers from private buyers and specialist dealers, and paying out in cash. Sellers can get the vehicle off their hands in 24 hours.

7. Splend
Splend helps private hire drivers earn more and improve their overall ratings. It provides high-quality cars to rent or rent-to-buy, as well as a range of plans providing a range of support services.

Value: £40.5 million ($50.4 million)
8. On the dot
Delivery service On the dot is using machine learning to provide automated delivery allocation services. Through this, they can offer same-day and time slot delivery services that work around customers.

9. AppyWay
AppyWay helps drivers find unoccupied bays, get to them and then pay for the space instantly, so they can simply forget about it.

10. Weengs
eCommerce fulfilment partner Weengs helps small and medium businesses get products to customers anywhere in the world. Its “ship-from-store” logistics solution handles collection, packing and delivery for retailers.
