Adverttu’s NHS driver volunteer support programme continues to grow

April 30, 2020

Adverttu’s NHS Driver Volunteer Support Programme, developed to help those doing essential work during the COVID-19 pandemic, has welcomed its first brands onboard.

The automated transit advertising platform launched the programme to connect brands and key workers. Their driver community has also surpassed 17,000 – 8% of which are NHS Volunteers – since the programme launched several weeks ago.

NHS employees, healthcare and nursing professionals, gig economy workers, delivery drivers, military personnel, the police and public sector staff are just some of the essential workers that companies can support, in addition to NHS Volunteers from the community.

Brands can help as many drivers as they want. Each £300 package provides a driver with £200 across two months to cover extra costs and fuel while £100 produces the decal that a driver affixes to their car to show the supporting brand and identify them as an official volunteer.

Artjom Jekimtsev, CEO and founder of Adverttu, said: “Many in our driver community are out there, keeping others safe. Our programme connects these amazing people with brands wanting to help in a direct financial way, even if that’s simply sponsoring a single driver. For example, we have an NHS nurse racking up 2,000+ miles a month and this extra money goes a long way. Thanks to these hard-working individuals, the majority of us can stay home.”

Adverttu has received a grant from Ocean Outdoor’s £10million SME Fund that is being used to raise awareness. With this, Adverttu is advertising on prominent Ocean Outdoor digital out of home sites – Westfield London and Trinity Wandsworth.

The company also has volunteers within its 17-person team. Remy Carmona said: “As soon as organisations started calling for volunteers, I wanted to get involved. When I’m doing my volunteering, delivering food on behalf of Furloughed Foodies London, it’s helpful for others to know the reason why I’m on the roads – I’m out helping people to stay in.”

Adverttu’s out of home transit media platform, adapted to enable this initiative, continues to operate normally alongside the NHS Driver Volunteer Support Programme.
