Presenter Konnie Huq has joined with integrated podcast agency PodcastWorks to launch a new podcast with her best friend Liz Owens, ‘Thinking Out Loud with Konnie and Liz’.
The series launches today (April 27th) and sees Huq and Owens picking big topics each week and sharing what they know, or what they think they know, with input from experts. It’s based around the idea that there “are no stupid questions”.
Episode one focuses on the brain, featuring Dr. Emma Cahill, neuroscientist and expert. The second edition will cover drugs, with contributions from researcher and host of ‘Say Why to Drugs’, Dr. Suzi Gage.
It’s been created in association with PodcastWorks, part of the London-based RadioWorks Group, which provides dedicated audio advertising services. PodcastWorks was launched last year and recently launched a podcast for International Women’s Day featuring recognisable names like Sara Cox and India Willoughby.
The podcast is available through all major podcast listening platforms.
Konnie Huq said: “It’s great to be a part of such an exciting new project. Prepare for a series of tantalising trivia alongside some real-life experts, on a range of great topics. Hopefully you’ll enjoy listening to it just as much as we enjoyed making it!”
Ally Land, Commissioning Editor at PodcastWorks, said: “There’s a really lovely dynamic between the two friends as they spar with those things they’re not sure they can say out loud; from myths to misconceptions, to total nonsense. We’re so proud that Konnie and Liz came to us with the project and it’s turned out to be a perfect tonic for what everyone is going through at the moment.”
