Home-sharing platform Airbnb has released a selection of interesting data about the state of the company right now – including the fact that half a billion guests have now been checked-in.
After 12 years of operation, the stats show that Airbnb still has a strong market presence, and has earned its hosts upwards of $65 billion in total.
And across the six million properties available, they have just recently hit the 500 millionth guest.
Airbnb is currently worth $31 billion and has made a large number of high-profile acquisitions recently in order to diversify its offering – which already includes experiences – even further. It has tripled sales since 2016 and is allegedly considering an IPO this or next year.
