Sustainable Business Of The Month: Bundlee

by
July 1, 2024

Prolific London has selected Bundlee as our sustainable business of the month for June. We have had a deep dive into companies that rent clothing and fashionable items before, but we haven’t a good luck with a business that is solely focused on the rental of baby clothes. The idea of renting clothes for babies makes perfect sense, as they grow out of their garments so fast. The only thing that surprises us here at Prolific London is that someone hadn’t thought of it sooner.

About Bundlee

As the eldest in the family, witnessing the rapid pace at which younger siblings outgrow their clothes was eye-opening to Bundlee founder Eve Kekeh. Kekeh stated “Piles of baby clothes quickly accumulated throughout the house, Mountains and mountains of baby clothes started popping up all over our home! With babies outgrowing 7 clothing sizes in just 2 years, it is the ultimate fast fashion! And perfectly lovely baby clothes are sadly contributing to overflowing landfills. I want to create a better future for babies to grow into. Which is why I started Bundlee.”

Driven by a vision to foster a sustainable future for the next generation, Bundlee was then spawned in 2018. Bundlee is the UK’s pioneering rental subscription service for baby clothes. This innovative service provides sustainable fashion for infants at an affordable price, simultaneously addressing the pressing issue of clothing waste. This helps keep costs down for consumers and also has a positive impact on the environment as clothes will be reused instead of thrown away after they are no longer fit for purpose. The company website states that parents can save up to £300 when using Bundlee’s services, and that’s not a small amount, especially in a cost-of-living crisis.

How It Works

When it comes to using Bundlee the company operates with a subscription-based service. There are two plans to pick from the first being the Personalised Plan, and the second being the Capsule Plan.

Personalised Plan

The personalised plan is the more premium service. It costs £39 a month and allows subscribers to pick up to 15 items of premium clothing a month. Subscribers also get the option of being able to pre-order clothing up to one month in advance and the clothing range covers ages from 0 to 3 years old.

Capsule Plan

This is the more economical option, this will set you back £24 a month. You don’t get the option to rent branded clothing, but all the Bundlee branded items are included for selection and can be pre-ordered up to six months in advance. Unlike the Premium Plan the Capsule Plan only covers age ranges from 0 to 24 months old. This is still a great option for those on a tighter budget, and Bundlee is currently offering 50% off the first two months on both plans to new subscribers.

Making Freinds

In January 2024 Bundlee and H&M announced a partnership that would see H&M’s Arket range. With a focus on toddlers, this new partnership will now give subscribers even more choice and more value when using the service. For a business that only started life in 2018, Bundlee doesn’t seem to show any signs of slowing down, and we can’t wait to see what innovative actions they take in the years to come.
